Sensationail Gel Polish Starter Kit Review
I got my first gel manicure at a nail salon a few weeks ago and I was super happy with it. The manicure lasted over 2 weeks as promised and I loved how glossy my nails looked!
She used a Gelish polish and I believe this shade was "I'm Brighter Than You"
I saw a deal on the Sensationail Gel Polish Starter Kit last week and decided to give it a try
The kit includes:
-LED Lamp
-Gel base & top coat
-Color gel polish
-Gel primer
-Gel cleanser
-Lint-free wipes
-Double sided nail buffer
-Manicure stick
-Instruction sheet
My only complaint about the kit is that the LED lamp timer noise is kind of faint.
The manicure stick is a real life saver when it comes to making sure you don't have excess polish around your nail. I also really like using the lint-free wipes and the cleanser once I'm done because the top coat dries with a sticky residue.
The Sephora polish was kind of thick and after a few tries I gave up on making my nails even. After two days I was tired of looking at the white nails so covered the mani with China Glaze's Pool Party.
I wanted to see if the manicure would still last as long with normal polish and the gel topcoat. Answer: NO
Most of the time I enjoy switching up my manicures on a weekly basis and I don't want to be limited to only gel colors. Also, the removal process can be damaging to your nails. I don't see myself using this 100% of the time but it's a nice option to have. If you can find the kit on sale I'd recommend that you go for it! :)

Carol's Daughter Monoi Repair Hair Care Line Review
I bought two of the Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Masks last week during ULTA's Love Your Hair Event for 50% off when they were a Daily Steal.
I also got these HUGE free samples of the matching shampoo and conditioner that are about half the size of the normal product!
The masks are back to their full price now but, you can still get these free samples with a $25 Carol's Daughter purchase until the end of the event on May 31st!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*I have chemically relaxed shoulder length hair and had my last relaxer 15 days prior to using these products.
The Shampoo: I noticed that it did not lather which is a good sign to me. The product is supposed to be more natural than other shampoos and doesn't contain SLS so no lathering is to be expected. After I rinsed my hair I noticed a nice fresh tingly feeling.
The Conditioner: I enjoyed the smell of it. I left it on for about 10 minutes then rinsed it out and put on the mask.
The Mask: The first thing I noticed was the texture. The mask has a really nice whipped consistency and you can't see any oils in it like the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque that I've recently broken up with.
Carol's Daughter vs Macadamia
I left it on for roughly 30 minutes while I was watching tv. I used a plastic cap and towel to keep my head warm because I'm too lazy to use a dryer. After I rinsed it off I noticed that my hair actually did feel pretty soft!! My hair wasn't weighed down either. I still have nice volume without looking like a frizz ball. My hair also smells amazing which is always a plus!
I do get split ends but since I just got a trim 2 weeks ago it'll be a while before I can say whether or not these products helped with that issue. I'm glad that I bought two masks and if my split ends and breakage issues are actually lessened like the product claims I'll definitely repurchase!
I probably won't buy the shampoo and conditioner once I'm done with the samples. They sell for $20 and $22 for 8.5 oz of product and I don't really see the value.
**As a side note: Carol's Daughter recently filed for bankruptcy so I've been anticipating their products being discounted at major retailers. I would suggest keeping an eye out across the board for more sales to pop up in the near future.
Thanks for reading my review!

Lost Files: Pool Party OOTD
Top & Shorts: Forever 21
I bought the items at the same time as my SPRING FOREVER 21 HAUL and didn't include them on purpose but then the party got pushed back to the weekend before finals and the rest is history...
Bathing Suit: Victoria's Secret Forever Sexy Halter & Foldover Bottom
Bought this last year during the swim sale & used some coupons as well. I think I got the top for about $20 and the bottom for $12. The full price for the top is $39.50 and the bottom is $28.50.
Sandals: DV by Dolce Vita Doris in Rose Gold
$59 $35 $28
I got these from DSW when they were 40% off then used a $10 rewards certificate to get them to about $28 after taxes.

OOTD & FOTD featuring Nars Contour Blush in Gienah
Nars Contour Blush in Gienah $42 $22
I think I finally found a bronzer that I like!!! It's matte and also not too red toned which is an issue I have always ran into. It's buildable & long-lasting. I got mine from Nordstrom and used a $20 Nordstrom Note to basically cut the price in half. Not sure if I would've paid full price for it.

MAY Shopping SBree at Forever 21
I'm really loving these simple bodycon dresses from F21 it was hard to get only one
The sales associate helped me pick this dress out for a date night. It's modest but still fun.
He also pulled this as an option & I was iffy about whether or not I could pull it off but ended up coming back for it 2 days later lol
I went a little crop top crazy
Got some new shorts to pair with my new crop tops
I also got some high waisted leggings as a styling option
Thought it would be cute to get this sweater to go with a crop top and leggings as well
I've been looking for some new shades since I only have black and brown ones and thought these were nice
